Beech Ridge Motor Speedway is New England's premier short track speedway. The third-mile asphalt oval facility is renowned across the nation as a leader in the short track racing field. Frequently, it is rated by visitors and race industry professionals as one of the top five short tracks in the United States. A talented pool of nearly 150 weekly local drivers, combined with competitive rules, a first-rate staff, an efficient program and an immaculate facility have given Beech Ridge its outstanding reputation.

Oxford Dragway opened it's gates in 1969, The Dragway is located behind Oxford Plains Speedway in Oxford Maine and belongs to the tracks current owner Bill Ryan. The Dragway is leased out to operators who answer to a five member board of directors, all of whom are among Oxford Dragway's stockholders. Oxford Dragway offers three nights of racing, starting with Thursday night which is for street cars, that is any vehicle that is street legal and runs only street tires and no slicks. Along with being street night, it is also ATV night. One can run an ATV providing it doesn't have knobby tires. Friday night is for snowmobiles and motorcycles, and certain Friday racing includes Nostalgia night, which is any vehicle 20 years or older. Please check our schedule for what races are running on Friday's. We will also run a Gamblers race if time permits. Saturday is points series for super pro and modified. We will also run a Gamblers race if time permits. There is always a Test & Tune on any of the 3 nights of racing.

A 1/2 mile track, 70 feet wide with a four ft. grade in the turns that cost $35,000 to build. It provided a 600 ft. long grandstand with bleacher style seating for 5,000 and parking for 1,000 cars, concession buildings and a pit area. It took all of six weeks to transform 200 acres of lightly wooded flat land into Maine's most modern racing facility.

A 3/8 mile paved oval with short straights and wide, sweeping turns. The Speedway plays host to a Saturday night Weekly Racing Series, a Wednesday night Summer Racing Series, a Friday night Miniature Motorsports Series and occasional Motor Mayhem events on Sundays. The largest spectator facility in the state of Maine (seating for 14,000) Home to the TD Banknorth Oxford 250. With a purse nearing $200,000 and a guaranteed $25,100 to the winner, the TD Banknorth Oxford 250 has been hailed as the richest one-day short track race in America.

Track History
Wiscasset Speedway (original name) was built by Wilford Cronk of Wiscasset in 1968 and opened for racing for the 1969 season. According to a news article, the original pavement went down in October 1968. Dave and Sandra St. Clair purchased the track in 1991 and changed the name to Wiscasset Raceway. On July 20th, 2007 Doug and Becky White and family purchased the track. Within a few short weeks fans began to see many changes take place, from a newly designed logo, track officials in uniform, a weekly racing program, Live "Raceside" TV, the return of Pro Stocks and the formation of a Mini Truck division. Nearly a hundred businesses have agreed to partner with "Wiscasset Raceway Promotions" in making this an amazing transition in only a little over a month. And the story goes on.........
